I'm not sure what the big deal is about 'bonding' and such with colleagues or classmates. I'm the kind of person that believes that to work well there's no need to know each member of the team deeply or personally. Maybe it's me, slightly awkward and antisocial, maybe it's them, completely normal and highly social. Don't know.
I do know I'd love my job/school more if instead of being forced to hang out with everyone there, playing ridiculous games if I was given the choice to decide what to do with that time.
I'd choose a home cooked meal with my girlfriend. That's the bonding I want and need.
